About Our Industry
Umbrella companies see on a daily basis how umbrella employment is a way into the labor market for different types of workers in a wide range of professional fields. Already today, tens of thousands of people have taken on assignments as umbrella employee, and in 2018 alone, the industry generated SEK 750 million for welfare through taxes and fees.
Umbrella employment can therefore basically be seen as an enabler, for both individuals, companies and society.
The difference between umbrella employment and self employment is that the latter means you have to have your own company. As umbrella employee this is not the case. You are employed by the umbrella company for each separate assignment.
Who are we?
The Associations’ mission is to ensure that the potential of umbrella employment is taken advantage of when shaping the modern labor market.
Our members are small and large umbrella companies and our versatility creates a good overall insight into different conditions and needs. Our main work is to increase knowledge about umbrella employment and strengthen legitimacy vis-à-vis decision-makers.
Statutes
The activities of the umbrella companies are regulated by the statutes that were drawn up in connection with the formation of the organization in 2012. Currently the statutes are only available in swedish.
Why a trade association?
By unifying the industry around a common vision, we create the conditions for a more legitimate and effective promotion of umbrella employment.
The association also creates the opportunity to review its own work and focus on necessary measures when problems or deficiencies are discovered. This enables a form of self-regulation that contributes to creating clear and predictable conditions for umbrella companies and umbrella employees.
